The last picture of Octavio’s left upper arm and shoulder as nature decided it should look like…

At this point all I have to do is to “follow” the lines…but sometimes it could take hours to get to this point…

This is not done on purpose but I really like the combination of colors and texture that the pens I use to draw on skin give…

Coca is getting better and better with her shots…

The end of our 1st session before I changed my mind and made the design go all the way the the base of the neck…

At this point we finished the 2nd session…

Creating volume and weight without using “too much” solid black areas…

The part of the design that goes from the shoulder to the base of the neck was added during the 2nd session…a way to give the piece more “flow”…

Even though I like this step-by-step thing I do with the blog I also think that things could get a bit boring and predictable if I don’t make an effort to every once in a while change the “system” of always posting 10 pictures explaining with words and images how the tattoo was created and executed…of course every tattoo is different but the process is exactly the same every time…it is very tempting sometimes to write about more “private” aspects of each session, since my interaction with clients from all kinds of background give me enough stories to write a book…things like why they choose me to tattoo them, the meaning of the design,he story behind the tattoo, the drama with the mothers, how life changed after getting tattooed, etc…but like I said I do consider these “private”…so until I come up with something new that’s how things will work…10 photos and a no personal approach about the sessions…and by the way,Octavio’s piece was finished after 3 sessions and there’s something to it that reminds me of an animal…maybe because of how from this angle the design seems to have a “head” on the shoulder and a “tail” around the elbow…
