It’s sunday night and I practically didn’t leave the studio this week…tattooing everyday(I’m not complaining) and enjoying the space with my customers, friends, the cats and good music…time is passing quick and we’re already in february…the days have been busy and productive…the tattoo you’ll see below is a pair of wings I tattooed on Lucas (his first) starting last wednesday…I had a real hard time trying to draw this one…I guess I’m getting so used to draw on skin that sometimes I just get lost on paper…maybe is just hard to picture the design as a tattoo unless you’re drawign directly on the skin…anyways , after 3 days and a lot of erasing I finished the drawing still wanting to see how it would fit the body,so I could be sure for certain…I guess sometimes for no reason at all , the weight of the responsibility of tattooing a person decides to show itself…which is more than enough to put things in the right perspective…

The beginning of everything 4 days before the session…on a quiet sunday night…

The last adjustments must be made by hand…and the symmetry of the design must be aligned with the asymmetry of the body using the eyes only…

And we’re ready for Lucas first time under the needle…

As usual the first session was all about lines…

The lines are almost finished…and still reveals nothing of the final result….

The tip of the wing…

An important detail that can only be adjusted by hand…

By looking at the photo you can understand how the same design can seem so different when you see it on a piece of paper…specially in this case ,when the wings depend so much on it’s placement and the movement of the body…

Huaaaal is very beautiful!!
