Well…it’s been almost a week since I got back from Bahia…tattooing everyday and finishing too late I was unable to do the blog thing during the week…the trip that started as 2 friends driving 2000km to attend a wedding became an unexpected, unforgettable and grounding journey full of “coincidences”,”dreams” and “sightings” through one of the most special parts of the country the CHAPADA DIAMANTINA…thinking now of the places I visited, the people I met and the conversations we had I can only say that as a brazilian having to deal with the mediocrity, greed and incompetence of the politicians running this country and the consequences of such minds with so much power I still feel privileged to be born in this part of the planet…for every second of this trip my connection with the earth and the sky made me sure of one thing only…”THAT ALL IS WELL AND I AM AT THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME…”to the spirits that looked after us at Chapada Diamantina THANKYOU…

This is my gear box,I mean what was left of it…because if it we ended up “trapped” for 6 days in the most beautiful region in the country waiting for the parts to be shipped from Sao Paulo…this was definitely the best place for that to happen.

This picture was taken on the 3rd day…about 1900km away from Sao Paulo when things start to become interesting…

“Praia do forte” on the north coast of Bahia…looking at the view and understanding why the portuguese thought they found paradise when they arrived 500 years ago…

“MOTIONLESS” at the right time at the right place….

One might say that the old land cruiser lacks confort (which is true)…but having access to otherwise impassable places and it’s pleasures is well worth the sacrifice…

The Pratinha cave with it’s crystal waters…literally an oasis in the middle of nowhere…

We were the only ones at all the places we visited during the days we spent at CHAPADA DIAMANTINA…making the experience of being in such undisturbed places even more overwhelming…

The most beautiful waterfall I’ve been to in Brasil…and there’s so many more to visit…

I’m not even gonna try to explain this one…

é cara, o lugar é mesmo fantástico.
