CURVES 17/08/2006

Much time has passed since I last updated this thing…and of course much also happened…the important thing is that I have been active tattooing…I’ll be in tokyo for a few more days even though I don’t know why anyone would wanna be in this city during the hot and humid month of august(believe me I had my reasons)….I started the month with a couple of interesting requests that took me away from the geometrical lines I been doing for a while and let me have some fun making curves flow again…

One could say that this type of style is how everything started for me…the classic “tribal” look…inspired by the designs of the IBAN tribe in borneo…even though I have developed my own touch to this style I”m still attracted and fascinated by them as I was when I first started tattooing…

The end of the second session…

“BONJI” or the japanese sanskrit was and I guess still is a very popular design in japan…I haven’t done it a while so it was a nice surprise to be asked to design this sleeve…stylizing the bonji and “hiding” it…

This type of request was very popular years ago…even though the concept remains the same I have a very different approach to the whole process which I still enjoy…
