After 6 months I’m again working at my studio in Sao Paulo in a very different atmosphere from my place in Tokyo…but this is not lasting long for I’ll be on a plane tonight heading east again…

It was more difficult than what I thought it would be to come up with a design for this part of the arm…after a very frustrating 1st day we decided so stop and continue on the following day…on a 2nd try things went smooth and after a few hours the problem was solved…

The fact that he doesn’t have any other tattoos on his body make all the difference on a piece like this…for the first time I chose the elbow section of the arm and the idea was to use lines and solid black in such a way so the arm doesn’t loose flow and movement…

I have a feeling I’ll be doing more of these “elbow pieces”…
