KOMURA 17/04/2006

Mr.Komura waited a long time for his tattoo session with me and when the day finally came for reasons I’m not gonnna try to explain today his first session simply didn’t work…things didn’t flow and the design never “surfaced”…I couldn’t force it to happen and had to tell him to come back three days later to try again…these are the pictures of our second session…

Usually I wake up thinking about the design I’m tattooing on the day…by the time I got to the studio I already knew what mr.komurta’s back was going to look like…

k3.jpg

The point was to stay away from the rigidness of symmetry and give the design some flow…no problems so far…

And in less than 2 hours the design is ready…

One more time over the whole thing with the blue ink pen so mr.komura can have a very clear idea of what his back will look like as of today…

By the time I’m on this piece with my machine,my hands and brain have already memorized the lines and the work flows automatically…k7.jpg

I’m sure we both slept very well that night, happy with the tattoo and with the decision to not go with the first try a week ago…with tattoos as of with pretty much everything else if it’s taking too long than something must be wrong…have a beer and try another day…
